Memq AG becomes Littlebit Technology Deutschland AG
Altenstadt (D) / Hünenberg (CH), 12 December 2011 – After the takeover of MEMQ AG by the Swiss Littlebit group in July 2011, the group’s management decided, for strategic reasons, to rename the German distribution company Littlebit Technology Deutschland AG. The company also announced its intention to open a sales office in Unterhaching/ Munich on 1 January 2012.
MEMQ looks back on more than 20 years of experience in the wholesale of chip-based memory products. The specialist distributor sells the products of Kingston Technology, Corsair, Samsung, SuperTalent and its own brand Extrememory. NAS storage solutions by QNAP, Synology and Western Digital complete the company’s product range. As a service provider, MEMQ specialises in content upload/duplication, controller programming and write protection for flash cards and USB drives.
The renaming of the company to Littlebit Technology Deutschland AG emphasises its strategic development towards becoming a specialist memory distributor throughout the German-speaking world. Littlebit Technology Group has operations in Switzerland/Zug, Austria/Vienna and Germany/Frankfurt, with a recent addition in Munich.
“The memory market is facing major changes. As a group, we want to take advantage of the technological and distribution-related changes, and systematically exploit the potential in the German-speaking market for our suppliers”, says Kurt Früh, CEO of Littlebit Technology Deutschland AG.
